Chadron State College student organizers of this year's Nearly Naked Mile April 25 anticipate that more articles of clothing will be donated than the 2,000 items collected in 2012 during the first annual race.

They also plan to see an increase from the estimated 300 runners last year, according to Sean Munger, Reba Jackson and Dani Buckley. The goal of the event is to raise cash donations for St. Jude Children's Hospital in addition to the clothing for the Chadron Catholic Ladies Rummage.

The ceremonial start of the NNM run, following the Keith Anderson concert in the Nelson Physical Activity Center, will take place at 9 p.m. near the pillars in front of the Student Center. The official start of the run will take place at Kent Hall. The route around campus will pass by a number of campus buildings including Memorial Hall. A number of faculty and staff had bounties placed on them to secure their participation.

Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the run followed by a DJ dance until 1 a.m. in the Student Center Pit.
